05.21.2008 - Police Latest: Change of venue in Leipzig...
Having played stadiums and arenas around the world, The Police have confirmed that this summer's tour throughout Europe and North America will be their last. To date, this much heralded tour, which has played to over 2.5 million people on five continents and garnered numerous accolades including 'Major Tour of the Year' (Pollstar), 'Top Selling' and 'Top Tour of the Year' (Billboard), and the People's Choice award for 'Favorite Reunion Tour', will come to an end in New York City this August.

This summer, Sting, Stewart Copeland & Andy Summers will return to Europe beginning June 3rd and will perform their final 18 European performances before the tour returns to North America ending the legacy that is The Police.

German fans will have their last chance to see the Police on June 28th when the band performs in Leipzig. The venue will move to Messehalle 1 which will give fans a chance to see The Police perform indoors for the final German event.

All tickets remain valid and fans will be relocated according to the seats they held at the previous venue. The new allocations which have been put aside for ticketholders will equal the quality of the original tickets purhased. Persons holding tickets in the pitch do not need to change their tickets, as there will be GA on the floor in the new venue, too.

To ensure the smoothest transition for all fans, tickets may be changed in advance of the show as follows:

Saturday, June 14th - the box offices at the Zentralstadium will be especially opened between 09:00 am and 07:00 pm to enable fans to exchange their tickets in advance of the showdate.

Saturday, June 28th - Special set-up points will be allocated at the Messehalle 1 from 10:00 am onwards.

All tickets have been allocated in advance so fans will receive their newly assigned ticket regardless of which day they choose to exchange.
